Meet Dr. Neil Franklin

Dr. Franklin was born and raised in Apple Valley, CA. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics and went on to receive his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the UCLA School of Dentistry. He continued his training through the New York University Langone Health System, completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry in Santa Barbara. His passion for working with children then led him to pursue specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco.

Since completing his residency, Dr. Franklin has worked in both private practice and hospitalbased care. He previously served at the hildren’s Hospital in Oakland, providing comprehensive dental care to a diverse pediatric population with a focus on patients with special needs and complex medical conditions. 

In his free time, Dr. Franklin enjoys staying active through surfing, golfing, playing pickleball, and practicing yoga. He also cherishes time with his family and frequently travels to Tucson, AZ, to visit his parents, brother, grandmother, and his beloved dog, Tommy. Dr. Franklin is thrilled to now call Orange County home and to be a part of the Newport Orthodontics and Children’s Dentistry team.
